Dell Laptops announced low cost laptops in Asia

Dell announced that they are implementing a more competitive strategy in their Asia-Pacific market. Dell will introduce lower cost laptops later this year as an introduction to their new laptop line up launch. A new move for Dell who have dominated the mid to high-end laptop market for the last few years. President of Dell Asia-Pacific Steve Felice says this move is in part a response to the rapidly increasing demand in the low-cost laptop market. When asked what Dell had in store Felice only said to watch out and wait as Dell prepares to launch a new version of their entire product line later this year. Will Dell be able to compete with the Asustek Eee PC and other low-cost, ultra light laptops, well have to wait and see. Besides Dell, HP, Acer and Asus have all pulled up their sleeves and are ready to fight for their share of the low cost laptop market.
