This site is owned and operated by Laptop.net. Your privacy is important to us, and we want you to understand our policies and terms, and how they relate to the collection and use of that information. By collecting this information, we can improve our services/products and better understand your needs as a valued user.

We gather 2 types of information about users:

Opt-in information. This is information that you provide to us voluntarily, through boards and forums, and participation in polls.

Information tracking. This is information that is gained by tracking page views, text goes here throughout our site. We will never give out any of your information to a third party.

Laptop.net Gathers Opt In User Information Through:

Polls

We want to know your opinion on various issues, and polls make it easy to know what you think. Your user information will never be visible to other Laptop.net users when you submit your opinion on a poll.

Surveys

Laptop.net sometimes conducts user surveys to learn more about the services and products that you are interested in, and to get feedback from our users on our site content. In some cases we may share aggregated demographic information with our partners, sponsors and advertisers, but we will never provide individual information about our users to a third party.

Usage tracking

Laptop.net tracks user traffic on our site, and compiles statistics based on insert text here. This tracking information is used to learn what users like and don't like about our site. We do not provide data about specific users, and all information is received from the user's browser string (contained in every user's browser). We occasionally track search terms entered in the search box, but this data is aggregated and never associated with an individual user.

Children

HOW LAPTOP.NET USES YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to improve the user experience, and to help us learn more about the content that users want on our site. We will only give out an individual's information with a third party to comply with federal law or legal processes. We allow individuals to make the choice to provide their information with our opt-in system, as well as the option not to participate in activities that would require cookies.

Our data systems are secure, password protected and we use industry standard firewalls. Only authorized employees of Laptop.net have access to users' information, and our security systems are continuously reviewed and enhanced as necessary.
